RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: GEE CEE CALDER (3) is a fast beginner and will be suited to racing over the sprint distance. He drew on the second line and ran a game race for third behind Hephaestus Phoenix at Geelong last outing so he should prove hard to beat under these conditions. MEADOW VALLEY STAR (7) was aggressively driven to move up without cover and produced a very tidy display to win at Yarra Valley last outing. He is meeting a field of similar standard here and he should make his presence felt. KYVALLEY PIERRO (6) will appreciate a drop back in class on his recent performances and is capable of improving on his numerical form. TRIPOD (2) is resuming since June but he has performed nicely at the trials and is drawn to go well first up. EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely leader), 1,4 RATINGS: 3,7/ 6/ 2/ 5/ 4/ 1
