OVERVIEW: FERRIGNO (4) began quickly to find the lead and set up a genuine tempo when fifth behind Captain Ravishing in a much stronger race last outing. He appears to be better placed against this opposition and is worth an investment. SIR CANDY CLOUD (2) is a former New South Wales pacer, which joins trainer Michael Laugher. He recorded a mile rate of 1.56.4 when he scored at Newcastle last outing so he should go well from his good draw. SHOOBEES SPIRIT (5) has been placed in two of his past four starts and has the speed to figure in the finish. He endured a tough run and had excuses last outing so he is worth a ticket each way.
