RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: MISS FRANCENE (9) copped plenty of pressure in the leading role and finished seventh in a strong race at Bendigo then finished third in a handy race at Yarra Valley last week. She appears to be well placed against this opposition and is worth an investment. CREATABLE (11) gets into this race with a concession claim and will appreciate his easiest assignment for some time. He was runner up behind Hadtobeharry at Shepparton in June and his latest unplaced effort was behind Aldebaran Boyd in a slick mile rate of 1.57.8 at Geelong. ASTRO (2) has struck peak form having had two wins and two seconds from his past four starts. He settled midfield, angled wide on the home turn and finished off solidly for second behind Partytime last week so he is worth thought again. TOUGHER (6) worked home well for second behind STRAIGHT TO THETOP (7) at Yarra Valley last week and is not without a chance. EARLY SPEED: 5 (likely early leader), 7 RATINGS: 9,11/ 2/ 6,7/ 5
