RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: NAKULA (9) has made errors at her past two attempts but she performed well at the trials on Tuesday when a narrow second and she can bounce back into winning form under these conditions. VALIENTE (7) worked hard early before gaining a trail when unplaced in a Metropolitan race at Melton last outing. He made a move to park on the outside of the leader when second in the Birchip Cup prior and should go well again. STEEL RULER (5) didn’t have much luck early when fifth at Swan Hill, where the last quarter was run in a slick 26.8 seconds. He can improve on his numerical form against this class. HIGH FLUX (1) is resuming from a spell but he is ideally drawn and has won two trials at Kyabram recently so he is not without a chance.
