RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: CARDIGAN DAN (3) is a first starter for trainer Emma Stewart, which dashed home in a sizzling final quarter of 27.2 seconds to win a trial at Melton. He obviously has ability and should go well on debut. YOU GOTTA BELIEVE (6) has the advantage of race experience and comfortably won a heat of the Bathurst Gold Crown on March 21. He drew poorly and settled in the second half of the field before finishing fast when a creditable fifth in the Final so he must be rated highly. BROOKLYN DAN (4) was able to win a trial at Geelong last week so he must be kept safe. LETSSTARTINHEAVEN (1) won his last trial at Gawler in fast time and is ideally drawn.
