RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: SMALLTOWNSMOKESHOW (4) performed extremely well at the trials prior to a sixth on debut, where she led and looked the winner on the home turn but galloped when nicely clear in the home straight. She has ability and is worth another chance. ALWAYS ON SAFARI (2) finished third in fast time at Kilmore last outing and he is drawn to suit his racing pattern so he must be respected. DIEING FEAR (3) is resuming since July but she looked impressive at a Maryborough trial victory last week so she cannot be left out of calculations. LUVN OSMAN (9) was narrowly beaten in his efforts at Mildura and Shepparton prior to a seventh at Bendigo, where he went fast early. He is a speedy type and is not without a chance.
