RACE COMMENT
PUNTERS JEWEL (6) is a high speed sit sprinter that is now fourth up from a spell in this race. He draws inside the back row which looks awkward on paper but over the 2200 journey there’s a good chance the gaps will appear and he will get his chance. SPORTING TRISTAR (1) is a gate speed horse and holds the key to the race in the early stages. Started from outside the back row at this track last start so is sure to be an improver from the improved gate. MULLUM DOC (3) was driven aggressively last start and tired late to be beaten 50 metres. This race is a lot easier. JAKKI MUN (4) has been a big improver in recent starts. Three runs ago he made a long wide run and made up good ground to get into third there.
