RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: DIRECT COMMAND (5) had a decent crack for the lead in the early stages and was left stranded without cover when a brave second behind BYRNESIDE BOOM (12) at Shepparton last week. A repeat performance will see him go close to winning here. BYRNESIDE BOOM (12) was suited by a genuine tempo being set throughout and outstayed his rivals last week. He has worked back to his best form having won two of his past three starts and this race is no harder so he is capable of winning again. CHOGI (10) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off fast when a close third at Mildura last outing. She continues to race consistently and deserves to break through for a win. HIGHVIEW HAMMER (3) is a brilliant beginner and has claims along with OUR MYSTERY BET (1) and JACKSBOY (6). EARLY SPEED: 3 (likely early leader), 2,5 RATINGS: 5/ 10,12/ 1,3/ 6
