RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: TELERN LOFTY (3) worked very hard to lead, kicked clear on the turn and was able to dead heat for first in a slick mile rate of 1.56.1 at Melton. His overall form is sound and he is very versatile so he must be respected. MAGNETIC STORM (5) gained a nice trail and finished off best to score in a mile rate of 1.57.8 at Shepparton last outing. This race is only marginally tougher and he should go well again. VILLAROCK (4) settled three back on the markers and worked home well for second behind the smart pacer Golden Tribe (won again since) at Cranbourne last outing. He recorded a mile rate of 1.55.8 when he won at Bendigo in February and looms as one of the leading chances again.
