RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: SETTLE THE BILL (6) has won three of her past five starts and should be competitive again. She pushed forward to find the lead and scored at Shepparton two starts ago then worked hard in the run and tired late behind Bullapark Beno at Bendigo. ATEGO DAWN (4) is a consistent mare that is usually competitive against this class. She battled on fairly well for fourth behind Abbie at Bendigo last outing and should give a forward showing under these conditions. KALARNEY PRINCE (3) was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off quickly when third at Bendigo last week. He places more often than he wins but is worth a ticket each way. VAN DOREN (8) will find this race to be easier than his recent assignments and is not without a chance. PATNWILL (5) possesses early speed and has claims if she can get across to the markers shortly after the start. EARLY SPEED: 5 (possible leader), 1,6 RATINGS: 6/ 3,4/ 5,8/ 1,7/ 2
