RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: DUSTY PHILTRA (6) settled midfield and chased hard when second behind Chainsmoke in a mile rate of 1.57.8 at Bendigo on Wednesday night. He has performed well at his two starts to date and should prove hard to beat under these conditions. MISTER SEASIDE (7) is a first starter for trainer Jackson Painting, which remains undefeated in two trials across the border and is likely to attract plenty of support. ATUA MAGIC (1) finished off well for third behind Dynamitedan at his only trial performance and is worth thought from the pole position. ELLIANA (3) appeared to have every chance when third at Shepparton on debut but she performed extremely well at the trials prior and is worth another chance.
