RACE COMMENT
ROCK HAMMER (2) has early speed and might be able to get to the front in the early stages. Has returned well from a spell having followed up his win with four placings. He is generally a good front runner and can prove hard to catch. HASTY BID (8) drops back into what looks a much easier race here having taken on Hot Rod Harry last start. He should get a good run through early on the back of a gate speed horse. SCRUFFY (5) is fourth up in this race and should be nearing peak fitness. He is a horse that can do a few things wrong at the start but has plenty of ability. If he brings his best behaviour he should be thereabouts. THE TIGER ARMY (1) isn’t a horse with much gate speed so the usually ideal gate doesn’t look quite as good for him. If he can hold a position in the early stages he has been racing well enough to figure in the finish.
