RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: The 12yo pacer SALSBOY (4) continues to race with great zest having been placed at his past seven attempts. He possesses a strong finishing burst and missed out narrowly behind Villarock at Bendigo last week so he is capable of going one better under these conditions. The manners displayed by PLAYNICE (9) might be the key to the result. He has galloped away at his past two attempts but was a runaway winner in a sizzling mile rate of 1.55.2 prior. He did win a trial a day after his latest performance and he has the speed to trouble this field. KIMCHI (1) settled midfield and sprinted home best to win easily at Maryborough last outing. This is a harder race but to counteract the class rise is his best draw for a very long time so he must be considered as a winning chance again. BETTER BLUE BOYS (6) dropped back from a wide draw and couldn’t work into the race against stronger opposition last week. His previous form was sound so he is worth another chance.
