RACE COMMENT

CHARLIE POTATOE (5) took the leaders back trail behind Miarka after attempting to find the lead in the early stages. He finished off fairly late behind what was a dominant winner. If he could find the lead he would be hard to beat. TARANTULA TOM (6) was able to secure the run leaders back last start at Albion Park and battled away well for second there. He has shown enough ability to suggest a maiden victory isn’t far away and this looks a suitable race. AUNTY POLY (2) took on a heat of the QBRED Breeders Classic two starts ago and battled away well enough there for fifth. Was well beaten last start in the final of that series but it was in tough conditions and she was off the pegs. DIAMANTINA DAISY (3) trialled well prior to debuting. Seemed to bump into a reasonably maiden there and did a few things wrong. Could be an improver.
