RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: ALDEBARAN ZANE (8) was resuming since a fifth in the Nutrien Final back in April 2024 when he broke stride at the 300m and lost his chance ($2-30 fav) behind Aldebaran Sue. He is the class runner of the field and will take beating if he delivers a fool proof display. SKYVALLEY BOY (7) is resuming since a third at Cobram in December but he was runner up at a recent Shepparton trial performance so he should go well under these conditions. BUMPER SERVICE (6) worked hard early before gaining a trail when third behind Kinvara Kate at Bendigo on Wednesday. He is widely drawn but is not without a chance. SAMMY HALLER (4) is a first starter for trainer Laura Wilson, which finished third at a Shepparton trial effort last week so he must be kept safe.
