RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: HEZA PUNK ROCKER (3) defeated a class field in the Super Series Final last season and has only had two starts since with those efforts being in the Tasmanian Cup series from the standing start. He hasn’t raced since March but he is likely to attract plenty of support. ALWAYS BE BLAKEY (9) looms as the logical danger. He was placed in a mile rate of 1.53.8 at Hamilton three starts ago and was very strong at the finish when he defeated Gunforhire at Melton last outing so he is capable of overcoming the poor draw. CLEAR LEFT (2) finished off best to claim the prize over TARA VICTORY (5) at Melton last week. He has been placed in four of his past five starts against similar opposition and is drawn to receive every chance so he warrants respect. TARA VICTORY (5) was beaten by a narrow margin last week and sustained a flat tyre so her run was very good. She is awkwardly drawn but is an honest mare and should run a good race again.
