RACE COMMENT

KICKING HORSE (6) has been the clear standout 2YO Trotter so far in QLD having scored 3 wins from his 3 starts. He faces a 30 metres handicap in this race but in a small field shouldn’t be far away if he steps safely. Should be hard to beat again. ICONIC IMAGE (5) was a winner last start when first up in QLD leading all the way after stepping quickly. This time faces a 10 metre handicap but does step quickly and might be able to make up that ground quickly after the start. DESIRING DIAMONDS (3) was quite slowly away last start and did well to get as close as she did behind Iconic Image. She has a 10 metre handicap advantage on that horse this time and might be better for the experience there last start. SMOKEY BEAR (2) stepped reasonably last start and was able to find the back of Iconic Image battling away well enough there for third. He stepped well his start prior before opening up a big margin on the field and just being run down late.
