RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: PUNTO CALIENTE (8) sustained a long run from last and did well when a close second behind Cheers Poverty last week. He is racing in good form and looms as one of the leading chances again. GRENADE (9) will find this race to be a little easier than his latest performances and should go well. He led throughout to defeat Spring Delight at a Mildura victory on June 27. PLAYNICE (6) charged through to hold the lead from the pole position, ran along at a genuine tempo and peaked late when third last week. The drop back in distance is an advantage and he is worth another chance. SNEAKY PHILTRA (2) began fast to lead, broke stride on the first turn then pulled hard so she had excuses when seventh last week. She is a versatile mare and should give a forward showing from her good draw over the sprint distance. EARLY SPEED: 2 (possible leader), 4,6 RATINGS: 8/ 6,9/ 2/ 3
