RACE COMMENT

OVERVIEW: KYVALLEY RAY (2) followed handy trial form with a comfortable debut victory at Maryborough. He was a clear leader early and broke stride with a lap remaining when unplaced ($1-60 fav) at Melton in April then was put away. He won a trial at Kilmore last week and a big performance is expected first up. AFTERNOON BREEZE (4) completely dominated her rivals when she scored by a large margin when on debut at Kilmore. She is meeting a field of more depth now but she appears to be very promising. UNCLAD (7) commenced as the $1-45 favourite but broke stride at the 1100m and lost his chance last week. He was an impressive winner at Melton prior and is worth another chance. HOWDY MATE (6) beat a field of similar standard last week and has claims along with ALDEBARAN TUCKER (3), which was placed at Group 2 level in Sydney at his latest attempt.
