RACE COMMENT

HATTIES JEWEL (1) has good gate speed and should be able to do enough to lead from the good draw. She took on the QBred final 2 starts ago and battled on well considering the class of her opposition including La Derniere, Rylee Rhayne Bow and Ever Art. She appears to be stepping a long way back in grade and is a horse that is generally hard to catch when able to lead. DREAM MELODY (7) looks likely to get a good run through at the start on the back of a gate speed horse that generally likes to hold a forward position. She is a capable sit sprinter and was able to score a good recent all the way victory at this track when beating Lydias Art who has since won. ROCK NIEN (8) was left without cover last start before tiring late into third to be beaten 27.9 metres. He steps back to the 1780 and draws favourably where he will have options in the early stages whether he stays off the pegs or looks for the position 3 back the inside. LITTLELIONELJAMES (3) was left without cover last start at this track before being run down late by English Dance who has been in particularly good form. He draws awkwardly in this race outside of a gate speed horse and may be left to do the work again in this race.
