RACE COMMENT
OVERVIEW: CHEERS POVERTY (1) worked very hard out of the gate trying to hold the lead and eventually took cover when fifth in a fast mile rate of 1.57.7 last week. He won two races in succession in July/August and performs best when he is close to the pace so he should give a forward showing. RONZEL MICKY (7) is capable of sprinting to the line quickly with the right trail forward and is drawn behind the likely leader so she is worth an investment. She led and scored over Avoca Blues on June 20. SNEAKY PHILTRA (9) attempted to lead throughout when a close third behind Rojenbye two starts ago then followed with a fifth behind Pottsy The Guru last week, where she was held up behind the tiring leader. She is racing well and is worth a ticket each way. ROBERT CROCKA (8) trailed the leader and battled on okay for third last week so he is not without a chance.
